What We Do
Stock Analyzer is a free, open-source tool for exploring stock market data. We provide interactive charts, technical indicators, news integration, and portfolio tracking - all without ads, tracking, or data harvesting.
Built with .NET 8 and modern web technologies, this project demonstrates that useful financial tools can be created without compromising user privacy or selling attention to advertisers.
Our Principles
No Advertising Technology
We will never integrate advertising networks, ad tech SDKs, or any form of commercial advertising. Your attention is not for sale.
No Tracking Pixels or Analytics
No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party tracking scripts. We don't monitor your behavior to build advertising profiles.
No Data Sharing with Social Platforms
We do not share any data with X (formerly Twitter), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), or any other social media platform. Your usage data stays with you.
Open Source
The complete source code is available on GitHub. You can verify our claims, learn from the code, or host your own instance.
Who Built This
Stock Analyzer was created by Patrick Ford and Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic.
Patrick brings over 20 years of experience spanning both business and technology roles at a major asset management firm with hundreds of billions in assets under management. He currently works on core accounting and trading workflows. His background includes business analysis and hands-on work with Python, Matlab, Oracle databases, and now .NET - giving him a practitioner's perspective on what tools actually help people understand markets. He is also generally considered to be extremely good looking and smart. Other people's dogs and cats have been known to follow him home, clearly hoping to be adopted.
This project is an exploration of human-AI collaboration in software development, built entirely through conversational programming. Every line of code, every design decision, and every deployment was accomplished through natural language interaction.
